Title: Senior Stimulations Engineer

Team Dynamics:
The successful candidate will report to the Shale group. Our client’s Shale group currently consists of 4 staff working within an efficient service team environment. You will interact with all of the regions Asset teams, Completions Superintendent and the completions group.

Activities & Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be the Stimulation Specialist for a number of key projects. • Work collaboratively with area Asset Development and CD&C staff in planning and execution of well completions of fracture stimulations • Compile and analyze data of the zones to be stimulated. Establish performance forecasting, stimulation design and production expectations. • Providing expert instruction/support in design of multi-stage Horizontal fracture stimulations • Take lead accountability for the execution of Horizontal fracture stimulations, including execution monitoring and mid job design changes. • Preparation of Post Stimulation Reports detailing learning’s, best practices and recommended technical and cost control improvements. • Perform post stimulation reviews and establish benchmarking of execution and effectiveness • Search for and stay abreast of New Completion Technology worldwide. • Research and evaluate benefits and risks of new completion technology/techniques. • Indentify best stimulation practices for the corporation.

Skills & Experience:
This position requires a degree along with 10 to 15 years of diversified completions & stimulation experience. Knowledge of production, reservoir, operations or drilling engineering is an asset. Extensive experience in rock mechanics for hydraulic stimulation, designing of hydraulic fracturing programs, diagnostic testing and evaluation of hydraulic fracturing projects is required. The ability to manage a portfolio of projects at varying stages will require excellent communication, organizational and planning skills to deal with the issues handled by the group. The ideal candidate will be the person that enjoys the technical challenges associated with new technology and actively solicits the teams to be informed and ahead of the workload curve. You think fast on your feet and your related engineering experience allows you to negotiate from a position of strength. You are a positive team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven leadership abilities.

Remuneration:
Our client rewards more than fairly, based on a candidate’s previous experience & level of competency. This includes a Base Salary, Performance-Based Bonus, Long Term Incentive Plan and Flex Benefits.
