The Organization:

Team Dynamics:
The successful candidate will work within a team of four staff defining opportunities in & outside the organization’s current core investment areas. You will also interact with other groups that include economics, research and finance. Additionally, you will assist the Executive Management to ensure prudent, long-term strategic growth plans are in place.
Activities & Responsibilities:
• Utilize & leverage existing skills, insights & knowledge of research, relationships and strategies of the organization and assist in their investment execution.
Skills & Experience:
The successful candidate will have a Geological or Engineering Degree with 7-9 years of broad downhole Energy experience. Candidates with an MBA or CFA are preferred. You have demonstrated your flexibility in considering all types of geological environments with a view to economic development & more recently - investment. A broad understanding of economic thresholds, risk assessment and regulatory issues in various domestic & international jurisdictions is required. You have the ability to influence and effectively collaborate with a wide variety of internal stakeholders and can balance the immediacy of short and long term projects. You are a confident communicator with superior written and verbal presentation skills and familiar with industry software such as Capital IQ, Markets.com, Value Navigator and Geoscout. You enjoy working independently with team support. A strong background in the quantitative analysis of technical and business problems and a high degree of computer literacy, including strong experience in spreadsheets, financial models and related applications are essential.
